Virtual Device Manager (VDM) is a

proprietary software architecture that uses

portable objects to manage data ﬂow

between different types of SAN devices.

VDM is designed to minimize overhead by

creating a virtual link between initiators and

targets on a per-command basis. Once this

virtual link is established, VDM can burst

data and take full advantage of all available

hardware acceleration.

ATTO Data Routing Fabric is a topology

incorporating advanced ASIC, ﬁrmware,

and interface technologies that enable users

to conﬁgure ATTO bridges and controllers
